"The trumpeter swan is one of my favorite wildlife subjects. This pose is a combination of witnessing our resident swans surviving in the winter and also having participated in a conservation project which helps relocate swans to additional appropriate habitat. I have held one of these magnificent creatures on my lap (large, when standing, 4' tall) while it was measured, blood tested and banded."
