Marty Goldstein Bronze Artist, Sculptor of Whimsical Dogs

We recently had the opportunity to catch up with artist Marty Goldstein. Marty Goldstein is a bronze sculptor based out of California.  His famous "Harvey Dogs" sculpture series can be found in collections all around the world.

1) What projects are you working on currently?

Currently I have three pups conquering the world or should I say that three bronze pups will be attached to a globe in a way that one might think they are taking over.

2) Do you create every single day? What does your schedule typically look like?

I vacillate between eating and working in the art room on a particular project.  I might typically work on a project for maybe 2 hours a day or possibly up to 5 or 6 hours.

3) Did you go to art school?

I took a couple of sculpture classes at the local community center.

5) Do you have any hobbies outside of the art world?

I walk a lot, go to the gym to work out and do some reading.

6) Is there anything you want to share with aspiring artists?

If you have a burning desire to be a success as an artist do NOT become discouraged.  Just work, work and work some more.
