Max

"Max" is an original ink on panel painting by Lex Lucius and measures 59" tall by 73.5" wide. Interestingly, Lucius creates most of his work with a rag. Often hidden within the many layers of his paintings are symbols, words and more marks to add a conceptual element to the art.

Lucius enjoys erasing layers of his work and "Max" has a beautiful wooden finish evident throughout the painting as Lucius has sanded away layers of paint to expose what lies beneath, which is a handmade panel built by the artist's own hands.
