On the Wings

This Houston Llew Limited artwork is created and sold as a diptych. Each panel measures 15" tall by 15" wide. Overall, the art measures 15 inches tall by 30 inches wide, plus spacing in between the panels. "On the Wings" is made in the same Vitreous Enamel technique as Houston's Spiritiles. Molten glass creates all of the imagery. It is fired and enameled onto sheets of copper, which acts as the "canvas." The copper sheets are mounted to hand-built wooden frames, which allows the artwork to float off the wall and gives the art a beautiful presence. Houston Llew's Spiritiles are collected around the globe. His larger works of art are rare and incredibly stunning!
